Managing Principal
Or has started his professional career working on some of the most competitive interest rates derivatives trading desks in the global financial markets and has been a member of the largest exchanges including the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, New York Mercantile Exchange, Montréal Exchange, and Eurex. In his 8 years as a derivatives trader and portfolio manager, Or has managed assets worth tens of millions of dollars and regularly conducted business with institutional real estate investment and banking organizations such as Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, ABN AMRO, and Société Générale.
Leveraging his financial and real estate investment expertise, Or moved to Miami Beach and joined Driftwood Capital as a director in the hotel development and acquisition funds where he held a premier position working directly under the Chief Investment Officer. Or has participated in real estate development projects valued at more than $500,000,000 and has led cross functional projects with the largest hospitality brands in the globe including Marriott, Hilton, and IHG. He specializes in land and asset acquisition, zoning and entitlement, financial feasibility, architectural and engineering design management, and financing sourcing.
Or holds a B.A with Honors in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley and a Master of Real Estate Development and Urbanism (MRED+U) from the University of Miami School of Architecture. Or was born in Israel and lives with his wife and two kids in Miami Beach.
Roy was born and raised in Haifa, Israel and served five years in the Israeli military as an officer. He has over 10 years of experience working in the hospitality and real estate industries in Miami. Roy served as director of Food and Beverage for the South Beach Group, the largest independent hotel owner and operator in Miami Beach, and later became a managing partner with the firm, leading the operation of their top six restaurants and bars.
In 2012, Roy joined ONE Sotheby’s international Realty, and established The Benmeir Team, specializing in luxury real estate sales and property management. Roy has closed over $200,000,000 in real estate transactions, both in residential and commercial markets. His team also manages a well-diversified portfolio of residential, commercial, and short-term rental properties that spans widely, covering a wide range of markets from mid-scale to ultra-luxury.
Roy is a licensed real estate sales agent in the state of Florida and fluently speaks Hebrew, English, and French. He resides in Miami with his wife and two kids.
Nir is a seasoned real estate professional with over 20 years of experience in the brokerage, development, and management of residential and retail assets in the vibrant city of New York.
Prior to founding Ilo, Nir has led his successful real estate investment firm, Nolita Group, focusing on sourcing and executing high-value commercial real estate deals in NYC's competitive real estate market.
Nir's passion for the industry led him to quickly rise through the ranks to become one of the most prominent real estate investment and brokerage professional in Manhattan, transacting more than $500MM of real estate deals and collaborating with many, investors, Fortune 500 firms as well as entrepreneurs.
He has a proven track record of successfully developing and managing real estate projects and businesses in emerging environments focused gentrification and innovative concepts.
